senȝe̋ka (Senjeca) - ⵖ‖⨅∙ⴺ‖Γ

Notes

  • The Senjecan script, known as the noivȝa̋r̈a (⨅ШⱵA∙ⴺ⨆), "sacred writing", is a left-to-right writing system, composed of 48 characters, which includes 15 vowels and 24 consonants.
  • The script is unicameral with no concept of letter case. Originally created for carving in stone, the characters have no rounded shapes.
  • The letter order of the noivȝa̋r̈a is based on phonetic principles that consider both the manner and place of articulation of the consonants, with the vowels following. This arrangement is known as the ruuntőxo, 'wreathe of letters' (⨆ꓘ፡⨅∙XШFШ).
  • The vowel 'a' is inherent and is written only when it does not follow a consonant, e.g., ba̋ȝa, Ʌⴺ, joy. However, if it is a long a, then it must be written, e.g., ba̋a̋ba, Ʌⵃ፡Ʌ, i.v. bleat.
  • When a consonant closes a word or syllable, a diacritic, the úvgoine̋uo, is used to suppress the inherent vowel. This is represented by a raised dot, , e.g., ba̋ndo Ʌ⨅∙ⵅШ, boulder.
