An a posteriori conlang is a constructed language whose vocabulary is derived from words of one or more natural languages, as opposed to an a priori conlang whose vocabulary is made up. (The term is sometimes used more broadly to refer to a conlang whose vocabulary derives from someone else's conlang.)
