Glacier Valley is spoken in an area where women maintain a uterine microbiome that ensures a high birth ratio of females to males, and the strict central government controls where women can conceive, allowing them to vary the sex ratio from 1:1 to infinity depending on the nation's needs. But because they need two decades to raise a generation of men to fight a war, the politics of reproduction are very complicated and many political debates revolve around reproductive policy.
