Rites of passage
- There are no rites of passage.
Free time - Talońiyu ki ya
- The main times for free activities are the nights and the rainy season. At these times, time is spent in making items for the use of the family: cooking implements, tools, etc. There are games for the children to play. There is always time to tell stories.
- There are eight lunar celebrations, the days of the full moon (lifei ńiyumi). These are days of recreation, when no work is done, celebrated with song and dance, feasting and various athletic competitions.
Roles - Lotimi ye
- The men do the hunting for food. They work at making tools from stone, wood and bone.
- The women take care of the household tasks, tend the children and prepare food.
Music - Ǵoewe
- The music of the Limli is very simple. Singing and dancing are accompanied by percussion instruments made from wood and wind instruments made from wood and reed.
Hospitality - Ńimilu
- Travel is not frequent among the Limli. There is no reason to do so. They seldom leave the island on which they were born.
- However, the infrequent visitor is greeted as a welcome source of news. He is treated hospitably with food and a place to sleep.
