Hatelang
A hatelang is a conlang whose phonology or grammar employ features the creator of the language dislikes. For example, a conlanger who prefers analytic or isolating morphology may create a hatelang with copious inflection. Someone who enjoys minimalist vowel systems may create a conlang with a large vowel inventory. Someone who is a xenolanger first and foremost may create a language that a human could actually pronounce.
Despite the harsh-sounding name, a hatelang is an excellent way to broaden one's linguistic palate, as it forces the conlanger to work outside their comfort zone.
JRR Tolkien's Black Speech is probably the quintessential example of a hatelang. Tolkien appreciated phonoaesthetics, as can be seen in the flowing sonorous quality of Quenya and Sindarin, whereas Black Speech is meant to sound guttural and unpleasant to the ear.
