Atevi
Atevi is a fictional language created for the Atevi series of books set in the Foreigner Universe by C.J. Cherryh and a person called Rodlox. As it is a language created for alien beings, it is also an exolang. Little is known of its grammar or vocabulary, but apparently there are stark semantic contrasts for concepts in Atevi versus similar concepts in English. Speakers of this language, for instance, have been said to have trouble with the idea of the word "like" being more than an expression of preference for one kind of food over another.(1) Mathematics plays a large part in the formation and use of this language of this language(2), which makes it extremely difficult for humans to learn (though not impossible, as has been shown in the books).
There was once a page hosted at this page but it did not make it into the internet archive and was thus lost.
