AnoeyFuturamerlincom is an Anoé-Tuillal typeface.

Important Note: As of 28 August 2013, there was a serious bug in versions 2.4 and earlier of the typeface, in which the glyphs for e and é are reversed. The issue was fixed in version 2.5 (28 August 2013). It should be noted that the issue presumably has introduced the error into all existing content that uses previous versions of the typeface; also, content that tries to compensate for the issue (by using the incorrect character deliberately) will be broken by version 2.5 of the typeface.

The story of the character switching, as best I can guess

It seems that in the creation of this typeface, the characters for e and é were switched. I am assuming that that is the case because of my best guess from looking at some source documents that seem to possibly indicate that the bitmapped glyphs were correct. It is possible that future investigation of additional source documents will contradict that conclusion, but for now I have released a corrected version of the typeface with the glyphs in what I think are their correct positions.

Assuming this is correct:

Existing text using the bitmap glyphs should be correct.

If bitmap glyph text was transcribed from a dictionary or other source that was created using the incorrect typeface, the bitmap glyph text will be incorrect.

There has been no change to the bitmapped glyphs.

Existing text using the typeface is presumably incorrect, although version 2.5 and later should fix mistakes in text using old version.

If the shape of the bitmap source glyphs were used to create the text using the typeface (and thus the glyphs of the resulting text were correct but the characters were not), the appearance would be correct with versions before 2.5 of the typeface, but incorrect with versions 2.5 or later.
