Focus (star)

Focus (from Latin for hearth) is the human designation for the yinrih's home star. The word may refer to the star itself or to the system as a whole. The word is a reference to a poetic term in Commonthroat for a star hosting a life-bearing world scrrmKg /yip, short low strong whine, chuff, chuff, short low strong grunt, long high strong growl, short low weak growl/ (literally hearth star).

Focus hosts six major planets. There are four terrestrial planets (Hearthside, Sweetwater, Yih, and Newhome), along with the gas giant Welkinstead and the ice giant Moonlitter. There are two asteroid belts: the Inner Belt between Welkinstead and Moonlitter, and an Outer Belt beyond the orbit of Moonlitter.
