Noto Fonts
This one is for Muke I guess. Can we add Noto Sans to the main font stack and Noto Sans Mono (not Noto Sans which hasn't been updated in ages!) to the mono font stack (fairly high up if not at the top)? They have extensive coverage of recent Latin/phonetic and Cyrillic additions to Unicode, and come ipreinstalled on Android. BPJ (talk) 04:47, 13 May 2025 (PDT)
- Hmm, looking at what was currently defined, it seems like the existing font lists were an ancient Internet Explorer hack that we probably don't need anymore; the subsequent
font-family /**/:inherit;overrode those lists in all other browsers, which were presumably better at filling in tofu. From what I can tell, the current CSS regime was eventually landing on whatever the user's browser had configured to use as theirsans-seriffont (in my case it was already Noto Sans). I've updated this to default to these Noto fonts. —Muke Tever | ✎ 17:48, 15 May 2025 (PDT)

Undid change
I'm not sure what this edit was supposed to do, but it had the effect of making text disturbingly large (only slightly larger than average in Firefox, but about as big as an <h1> headline in Opera). Whatever the intent was, I reverted till there is a better implementation of it. —Muke Tever | ✎ 06:16, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
