Thahi is one of the languages belonging to Axi language family. It stems directly from Dʰakʰi, the family proto-language. It has an alphabetical script.

Typological structure

Thahi is a morphologically agglutinative language, with an exclusive tendency to morpheme prefixation.

The basic word order is essentially VSO (Verb-Subject-Object).

(the) person sees (the) cow

The entire system is set according to typological parameters of the head-modifier (or head-initial) type:
