The Western Islands Department (Mirselec Karasurna Alzer) is the governmental agency and territorial subdivision encompassing several major components:
- The Suimar Archipelago, with more than 600 islands
- The Natin Islands, with 63 islands and
- The Bormese Islands, with 88 small islands.
